It's always an honor to create flowers for weddings.
It's an even bigger honor when I get to create flowers for the people I love most.

My sister was the most gorgeous bride you could imagine. I was given a lot of Liberty in how to design her bouquet. I wanted this bouquet to be whimsical and beautiful just like my her.

The added bonus was finding out my nephew also loved the bouquet and spent a great deal of time carrying the bouquet around asking which flower was which.

It was a gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple 💜

I continue to feel so incredibly lucky when the people I love trust me to create something beautiful for them.

This beauty is going to one of the people I love and cherish so much. There is something really beautiful about knowing who's receiving your flowers and in this case my friend's mom is a true gem. She is sweet, kind, and always asks how I am, how my son is, and how life is going.

She smiles when she talks about her daughters and continues to be their biggest cheerleader for everyone around her.

Creating flowers has always made me smile, but the older I get the more sentimental I become. I am just so honored when I have the chance to create something for people I love.

When I look at this I see whimsy, I see art, and I see parts of my friend. My friend who has always been bold and unapologetically herself and in the last few years has become the most beautiful version of herself.

Mother's Day is right around the corner and I have decided I would love to create some bouquets!

Whenever I look back on all of the beautiful things I've created this has to be one of my favorites.

I can still remember getting a message from .barton22 about a styled shoot, and asking if I wanted to do flowers for it.

I had never done a styled shoot. I had never made a tablescape. I had never really done this level of work all by myself. It really took me out of my comfort zone because the florist she normally works with Emily is so very talented and someone whose flowers I really admired. So I felt a lot of internal pressure to do a great job.

I was so afraid that the photographer would be disappointed that these were the flowers or that the videographer would hate it or that I would miss the mark completely.

Thankfully my anxiety and fear didn't win and the flowers turned out beautifully.

I still feel so lucky to have been able to create this 💙

Frequently when I'm asked to create bouquets, it's inviting me to be a tiny part of that special day.

Whether that's their wedding, a very special anniversary, a birthday, or in this case, a gender reveal, I always feel honored when I'm chosen. My flowers get to be a part of their story forever, and that truly makes my heart happy.

When I was asked if I wanted to create flowers for this gender reveal I was so excited. My son is 14 now and I can still remember the hopes I had for this little person that was inside of me and how excited I was when I found out that it was going to be a boy.

To see the pure joy that comes from the blessing that is motherhood is unlike anything else. I feel so fortunate to have been asked to be a part of it 💙.

This morning I finished creating two bouquets for a gender reveal!

It was so much fun, and thinking back on the beauty of pregnancy and all the excitement I had 15 years ago. It's such a wonderful adventure 💙

When I finished this morning, I had some leftover flowers, so of course I had to put together a little bouquet. it's going to my best friend's grandmother, who gave me a coupon for $0.20 off my gas today, so it only felt fair that she get the bouquet.

Whenever I have events, I hate to waste the flowers afterwards and I love to create something a little special either for people in my life 💜💙

I am still dreaming of the Philly Flower Show.

It was my first time attending and it was such a fun time. We visited butterflies, created floral crowns, and snacked all day.

I haven't felt inspired in a while, but the second I walked in I felt it coming back. I loved seeing all of these complex installations and it truly took me down memory lane on past opportunities I have had and visions I was able to create.

We of course had to eat, and eat, and eat while we were in Philly! Thank you Emily for joining me for such a fun day trip 💙

I fear my Instagram page may become like one of those websites where the recipe is at the bottom a whole story when all you wanted was how to know how many cups of flower you need. However I love the story ❤️

THIS RIGHT HERE is my VERY first wedding. I was working at Wegmans when the floral Team Lead needed to take some time off. For a couple weeks she trained me and I felt myself falling in love with floral designs. Then my beautiful sister got married!

Once I had all the flowers I went over to the one and only Cindy Ways home to create them. We had the most amazing time and during it I knew I wanted to do more weddings.

My sister was the most beautiful bride and all I wanted was for her to feel beautiful. She has always had some whimsy about her but also a love for the classic look and that inspired this bouquet. It also inspired me to use Dusty Miller as much as possible.

This bouquet was my first, and it was these photos that got me my first florist position at George's Florals. It was run by the two most progressive gay men who taught me everything I know. I can't wait to share flowers from that journey.

This wedding was the gateway for all my other creations and the start of Flowers By Rachael ❤️
