Sweet Corn Fiesta

This is something that can help farmers stay in business.

As we continue to lose farmers every year for all kinds of reasons, Amendment 2 is another tool that can help make sure our local farmers have the opportunity to stay in business and continue farming.

Keeping farmers on the land means keeping agriculture here for the next generation.

Today is and I'm going to give a shout out to Shucky from the Sweet Corn Fiesta, one of my favorite annual events.🌽

Fun Fact: About 33% of the USA's fresh sweet corn is grown in South Florida.

After last week’s Sweet Corn Fiesta, we had an abundance of hot dogs and corn left over. We were grateful for the opportunity to share that food with the Light House Cafe so they could provide meals to those in need. Our local Farm Bureau office is always proud to give back and support our community.

It’s incredibly rewarding to help ensure local families are cared for. If you ever have food supplies to donate, please consider reaching out to the Light House Cafe—they would truly appreciate your support.

Please join us in congratulating Gideon on an incredible victory at the 2026 Sweet Corn Fiesta! 🌽🏆

He claimed the championship in the sweet corn eating contest by devouring an astonishing 58 ears of sweet corn in just 12 minutes—an absolutely amazing feat. His speed, determination, and appetite truly set him apart today.

What a performance!

Now the real question… do you think you could keep up with that pace? 🌽😄
