PineCone Records USA is proud to announce the debut album from Aaron Carey - "Hear Me Talking" - dropping this Saturday.

This is the moment we've been building toward. Hear Me Talking is Aaron's first full-length album, and it is exactly what its title promises: a statement. A sound. A voice arriving fully formed.

Aaron moves between worlds on this record - the high-voltage, glitchy energy of future bass and hyperpop on tracks like "BewDeDeeDa", and the sophisticated nocturnal calm of chillhop and lo-fi electronic on "Gemini" - and what ties it all together is his instinct for the human feeling inside the machine. Vocal chops that breathe. Basslines that pulse like a heartbeat. Beats that make you nod your head at 2am and feel completely understood.

From a small studio in Belgrade, Maine - something genuinely new is about to reach your ears.

This week, students at Cony High School in Augusta walked out of class and marched to City Hall. They were protesting $2.5 million in proposed cuts to their teachers, counselors, and music programs while their school board faces a federal court ruling for silencing citizens who dared to speak up at public meetings.

We did not plan the timing of this release. But we believe music finds its moment.

"The People Still Decide" is a folk-rock protest anthem written and performed by Augusta songwriter Jason Carey, a man with deep roots in Maine's capital city, from its streets to its civic life. The song was built for exactly this kind of moment, when the institutions entrusted to serve the people forget who put them there.

Drawing from the storytelling tradition of Bob Dylan, the drive of Tony Rice, and the raw honesty of Nirvana, Jason delivers a track that holds nothing back. It is acoustic. It is direct. It is Maine.
