Paper Moon Puppet Theatre Puppet theater The Paper Moon Puppet Theatre presents classic Fairy Tales, Folk Tales and Fables from World Literature.

Drawing from the original versions of many of these stories we strive to present to the imagination of children these timeless tales of fantasy, morality and humanity. The eloquent art of the marionette, as ancient as many stories themselves, is the perfect medium for presenting these classics to youngsters. Period scenery and costumes, the use of classical and contemporary music and the charm

ing scale of the little puppets help us to provide a vivid format out of which the stories unfold. Before the main performance there is an interactive pre-show which gives children and adults alike a glimpse into the fascinating world of marionette manipulation. And after the performance the puppeteers take questions from the audience and explain some of the backstage mechanics to the children.

I am sharing these pictures of an artist and puppeteer who has had a stellar career on Broadway television and live theatre that some of us only dream about. His name is Addis Williams and he has a page. He is one of my two heroes and mentors from whom I have found inspiration over these many years. These pictures are from the Broadway production of Alice In Wonderland starring theatre great Eva Le Gallienne. The puppets were conceived and executed and directed by Addis and perfomed by him with a staff of excellent puppeteer performers. Also are pics of his interpretations of La Goulou and a cafe denizen, two Toulouse Lautrec characters right from the paintings. I believe that these are national treasures and I'm glad that Addis, always a private person, is finally sharing his work with us. Jimmy
