Please join us in one month for our 18th annual dance performance of Women’s Works: Celestial Bodies. August 1 & 2nd, 7:30 PM at the UU church in Belfast. Featuring the poetry of Barbaria Maria and new original works by Shana & Nnenaya Bloomstein, Hanna DeHoff, and Molly Gawler. With performers Dawud Bloomstein, Andrea Dole, Jesse Phillips -Fein, and Margi Pulkingham.

Performers on Saturday: Shana Bloomstein, Molly Gawler, Shepsi Eaton

World class dancers, Molly Gawler and Shana Bloomstein collaborate with stellar musician Shepsi Eaton on piano and voice to create an evening of dance, music, color, story, song, circus arts, carrying the audience from laughter to tears. At the Performing Arts Center in Unity called Clifford Arts and Student Center, audiences are welcomed into cozy seats to enjoy a heart warming offering of choreography and compositions in a flowing arc from beginning to end.

Performers on Sunday: Ellen Gawler, Molly Gawler, Benjamin Foss, Pineland Fiddlers

Description: Mother and daughter join together to create a fun afternoon of dance, circus, fiddling, clowning, and fun. Molly Gawler, former principal dancer with the world renowned dance troupe Pilobulus, brings to life a colorful collection of dances that embraces the wide variety of her abilities from modern dance, ballet, circus and mime, carrying the audience from laughter to tears. Accompanying her will be the Pineland Fiddlers, students of Ellen Gawlerand the Augusta based Pineland Suzuki School, fiddling up a storm with expertise that belies their years. Specially featured are theDayan/Newell Family, 3rd generation fiddlers, carrying on the fiddling traditions of Maine, as well as students from the Unity Ecology Learning Center. This unique collaboration promises to transport across cultures and genres with humorous, poignant, and fabulously unexpected offerings that will surely delight all.
