RTR - Rail Trail Rocks

This page was created because my kids and I stared painting rocks with intentions to specifically disburse them along the Rail Trail specifically in the Belfast area. We love creating the art just as much as we love walking and finding rocks that others have painted as well, enjoying them for a time and eventually re-hiding them for others to find and enjoy. One thing we also found interesting was

on some of the rocks, we found information on the back side leading to a page, what we found is what we hope that this page will ultimately become. A page where anyone who has found a rock art creation or who has created a piece of rock art and hidden it out in the world ( specifically starting here along the Rail Trail in Maine). The rocks may stay along the 40+ miles their entire "lives" or who knows maybe they will journey across oceans!! The point being that after putting in the effort to create these we LOVE the idea of being able to possible "see where they end up". So if you do happen to find a rock and the back of it brought you to this Face book page, we encourage you to post a picture of the rock and the location of where you found it! ( if you are comfortable of course)
So that my kids and myself can look on here and hopefully enjoy watching our artwork that brought us so much joy bring joy to others! We also LOVE seeing other peoples art work as well as watching them join in on the fun! Just make sure that before you hide your rock you put either the page name:- "Rail Trail Rocks"- OR -the Facebook SYMBOL along with "RTR". We really hope that you all enjoy this page and that it even maybe becomes something a little bigger than we had tin mind! Like I said before, we are hoping to "document" the journey of something so small that we put love into, and then sent that out into the world too see what fate has in store for it.
