SAVING DOGS LIVES with "The Above Ground Doggie Railroad".

I am a volunteer with a group that transports dogs from kill shelters in Georgia/Alabama/etc to no-kill shelters in Pennsylvania/New York/Massachusetts/etc. Today (April 21) my dog to transport from Baltimore to Delaware is two year old, Aubrey. She was a delight and a very good passenger and I am sure she will quickly get adopted..

April 15th was a bad day for The USA in 1865. Lincoln, who had been inaugurated for his second term a month earlier died at 7:12 AM and one of our worst presidents (Andrew Johnson) took over. He was impeached, but not thrown out of office by one vote. Lincoln's plan for reconstruction and helping the 4 million new citizens of our country went by the wayside. Johnson did nothing about K*K starting up by angry defeated confederates. 169 years of racial inequality, lynchings, Jim CrowLaws began with that horrible 17th president. Twas a tough day.
