This Christmas one of my favorite memories is gifting my Dad a painting of his beloved Prince, who passed away in November. Prince was his right-hand pup, who never left his side.

Years back my Dad daringly saved Prince when a much larger dog who burst out its front door and attacked Prince. After numerous stitches Prince lived out his old age.

Prince leaves behind his brother Bobo, who my Dad is holding below. Bobo is grieving the loss of his partner in crime.

My favorite part of this piece, is the lighting. I attempted to make the beam of light look natural, so it is difficult to determine if it’s painted, or lighting from the environment.

RIP Prince. You were the best pup and deserve royal treatment 👑

Commissioned to paint this beloved beagle as a birthday gift. Funny enough for a lovely lady Kelsey McCardell, who shares my same birthday. Pups live forever in our hearts, and a little bit of their spirit on canvas.

May we have eyes to see and appreciate the gifting and beauty in others.

The sense of loss doesn’t always come in the form of a living being, sometimes it’s made of wood and memories.

My dear friend’s parents made a wise decision to move into a retirement community. This meant selling their family home. Undoubtably, this is very difficult. Having to say goodbye to so many wonderful memories and impart on a new stage of life.

The sunlight is positioned so the viewer cannot determine if the sun was rising or setting. This is to be a reminder that life is both beautiful in the rising and setting. There are certainly many more beautiful family moments to come.🏠❤️
