Mike and I are selling our RV. 😢 We bought this 37’ long ’96 Ravel XL at the end of 2015 with a dream of becoming nomads; living and working on the road. We are only the second owners of this beast and she had less than 50,000 miles on it and still does. We spent 2 years renovating the interior and our maiden voyage was for our honeymoon in September of 2017 to see the eclipse in Wyoming. That was the only recreational trip we ever took her on.
We named her the Serenica Landship Housecar NCC 1796-37 (there is a really nerdy explanation to this name, trust me.)
Anyway, life happened and we delayed our timeline to shift into a nomadic life because I needed surgery and finally had an insurance plan that would cover it, and to save more money, and then in 2018 I learned I was pregnant and while we could have boldly stuck with our plan to leave, we decided to stay in CO for the time being because it was more predictable, less scary with a baby. So we bought a lovely little home in Morrison just 10 minutes from Red Rocks and turned this into an AirBnB to help pay the mortgage and I swear, we were getting bookings every night. It was amazing. And then covid happened and all our bookings vanished and we were barely making ends meet and that’s when we decided to move out to OK. We were set on continuing to run our AirBnB but not surprisingly, we don’t get many travelers out in rural OK and with just a few bookings a month (if we were lucky) the work involved with keeping this running and maintained for that with everything else we had going on didn’t feel worth it and we eventually abandoned the idea.
And so for 5 years, this poor thing has been sitting here, not getting used, not being loved, not serving a purpose. And needing maintenance. We put so much time, love and money into her and the only reason we didn’t sell this years ago is because of how attached we are to it.
But it’s time. She needs someone to ❤️ her. She does need work. Mike detailed everything needed in his FB Marketplace listing for anyone interested, I can send it. Just thought I’d share it here because we’ve had the listing up for a while now and we’ve had decent interest but no follow through.
