Happy Music Monday!

As you already saw, the 50th Pecan Street Festival Presented by Thomas J Henry has a seriously stacked music lineup this year!

Today, we’d love to highlight one of our headlining acts: the powerful duo Blackillac, consisting of rappers ZEALE and Phranchyze. They’ve been going strong since late 2018, with the blessing and production of multiple Grammy Award winner Gary Clark Jr.

Their journey began at beloved Willie Nelson’s historic Arlyn Studios, where they wrote and recorded with Gary, establishing the roots of the project. Since then, they’ve continued to expand their sound and build an impressive list of collaborations with producers and artists including KOTA The Friend, Quin NFN, Black Pistol Fire, MISSIO, and more.

They’ve also taken their music on a North American tour and made festival debuts at ACL Music Festival, Summerfest, Capitol Hill Block Party, Fortress Festival, and beyond.

We know we’ll be seeing a lot more from this incredible duo in the years to come, and we’re beyond excited to have them join us as we continue to celebrate 50 decades of the Pecan Street Festival!

Como ya habrán visto, ¡la 50.ª edición del Pecan Street Festival, presentado por Thomas J Henry, cuenta este año con una agenda musical poderosa!

Hoy queremos destacar a uno de nuestros artistas principales: el potente dúo Blackillac, formado por los raperos ZEALE y Phranchyze. Llevan una trayectoria sólida desde finales de 2018, contando con el respaldo y la producción de Gary Clark Jr., ganador de múltiples premios Grammy. The 50th Pecan Street Festival Presented by Thomas J Henry brings you a very special music lineup for this fall edition on September 12 and 13!

For five decades, the festival has been about bringing people together, celebrating the arts, and showcasing the creativity and culture that make our community so, so special. And through all those years, music has been one of the things that brings it all to life by creating memories, setting the vibe, and giving us all another reason to come together and celebrate.

Each year, we're proud to gift you a great lineup of incredible artists, and this year is a banger! You'll see some familiar names, along with others who may be new to you. Either way, you're going to want to be there for this one.

The Covert Bee Cave Main Stage provides the perfect backdrop and plenty of space to enjoy the music the way it deserves.

The 50th Pecan Street Festival Presented by Thomas J Henry is thrilled to welcome back accomplished visual artist Carmela Castrejon at the Hill Country Galleria!

Carmela’s work has been seen in international spaces such as Alexandria Bibliotheque in Egypt, as well as biennials in Sydney, Australia, Venice, Italy, and many more.

Carmela will be hosting a FREE children’s art workshop on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, from 12 to 4 PM at the Astro Turf. No registration is needed! Just show up and allow the kids’ creative spirits to flow alongside an accomplished, deeply caring artist and devoted teacher.

It’s very important to us to highlight the safety and welcoming environment of the Hill Country Galleria, where we can provide a wonderful space for families with children. Clean bathroom facilities, ample free parking, free hydration courtesy of A Force of Nature, and an all-around inclusive venue with ADA/wheelchair accessibility make this a great place for families and solo adventurers to enjoy the festival and let creativity flow.

El trabajo de Carmela se ha exhibido en espacios internacionales como la Biblioteca de Alejandría en Egipto, así como en bienales de Sídney (Australia), Venecia (Italia) y muchas otras ciudades.

Carmela impartirá un taller de arte infantil GRATUITO el sábado 12 y el domingo 13 de septiembre, de 12:00 p. m. a 4:00 p. m., en el área Astro Turf. ¡No es necesario registrarse! Simplemente acérquese y permita que fluya el espíritu creativo de los niños junto a una artista consumada, y ante todo una maestra profundamente dedicada a su labor.

Para nosotros es muy importante destacar el entorno seguro y acogedor del Hill Country Galleria, donde ofrecemos un espacio maravilloso para las familias con niños. The 50th Pecan Street Festival Presented by Thomas J Henry is proud to recognize Disability Benefits of America as a sponsor of this year’s festival at Hill Country Galleria!

For three decades, Disability Benefits of America has helped people pursue the Social Security and Veterans disability benefits they deserve. Their Accredited Disability Representatives guide clients through the process, from initial filing to appeals if a claim is denied.

There are no upfront or out-of-pocket costs, and clients never pay unless Disability Benefits of America wins their case and they receive benefits.
