Winter Musical Audition Announcement!

Elf The Musical JR. is a fun, 60-minute holiday stage play based on the hit movie Elf. It follows Buddy, a human raised by Santa's elves, as he travels to New York City to find his real father. His goal is to save his family and bring the Christmas spirit back to the city.

WHO:
Auditions open to ANY BCPS 4th - 12th grader!

WHEN:
Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
Thursday Septemeber 3, 2026.
Friday September 4, 2026.

WHERE:
In the LHS Auditorium 3:45- 6:00 PM!

Come out and support LHSPA's Jacorey T. Hall in his debut performance of Academy Center of the Arts & Masterworx Theater Inc. production of "The Beale Treasure Anthology"

“The following details of an incident that happened many years ago, but which has lost none of its interest on that account, are now given to the public for the first time.” In 1885, a pamphlet titled “The Beale Papers” was published, containing three numerical ciphers and a wild tale of adventure that promised to lead the reader to a buried treasure beyond anyone’s wildest dreams, hidden somewhere in Bedford County, Virginia. But as tantalizing as a multi-million-dollar get-rich-quick scheme might be, the numbers don’t seem to add up. Was the treasure a hoax? The ciphers themselves? Did this “Thomas J. Beale”, or any of the other colorful characters described in the papers, even exist? The mystery remains to this day. In a celebration not only of Southwest Virginia’s unique history but Lynchburg’s legacy of extraordinary community theatre, a team of local writers explores the many mysteries of The Beale Treasure through this anthology of vignettes.
