The Blue Ridge Harmeneers are a men’s barbershop chorus sharing music, friendship, and community through the timeless art of ringing four-part, a capella harmony. The mission of the Harmeneers is to sing 4 part barbershop harmony of a caliber that gives enjoyment to our members and audiences while promoting a true spirit of fellowship within our chapter and perpetuating the old American institutio

n, the Barbershop Quartet. We will strive to serve the musical needs of our members and to benefit selected charities and the community at large, by actively engaging in a wide variety of barbershopping opportunities.

There’s a reason barbershoppers get excited when a chord really rings. 🎶

Barbershop harmony is built around closely tuned chords. When the notes align just right, their overtones reinforce one another, and you may hear pitches that no individual singer is actually singing.

It’s one of those moments when everyone in the room knows: there it is.

That pursuit of a better ring is part of what keeps us listening, learning, and singing together week after week.

☘️ One phrase at a time.

Every Monday evening, we gather and work through our music piece by piece. Sometimes that means tuning a single chord. Sometimes it's refining a phrase until it really begins to ring.

This week's rehearsal featured Irish Blessing.

If you've ever wondered what happens at a barbershop rehearsal, this is a small taste.

We rehearse Mondays at 6:30 PM at Main Street United Methodist Church in downtown Bedford, Virginia.

Whether you've sung for years or are simply curious about close harmony, we'd love to have you visit. Guests are always welcome!

Join the Blue Ridge Harmeneers this November as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday through music that tells the story of our nation.

From the mountains of Shenandoah to the streets of New York, New York, from Georgia on My Mind to Deep in the Heart of Texas, this concert explores the places, people, and traditions that have shaped America through the power of four-part harmony.

We’re also excited to welcome special guests throughout the weekend:
