This super hot show conceived and written by Producer Mike Skiles and Kevin Kratzke (Buddy Holly) sold more tickets that any other TFM production. The video does not reflect the noise and enthusiasm of this crowd.

I am saddened to report that Kevin Kratzke's Dad passed away this week. I'm sure that you remember Kevin who played Buddy Holly in the Night the Music Died for several years. One of the greatest pleasures I had as Producer of Texas Family Musicals was meeting the parents of our performers as they came to visit. Knowing Mr. Kratzke since 1999 was a great pleasure...He loved Kevin and in our conversations, he shared with me how proud he was of his son. Please keep Kevin, his Mom and his brother in your prayers as they reach peace and understanding over the next few weeks.

In honor of the three rock and roll icons, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and Big Bopper who died in a plane crash 71 years ago yesterday here is an unrehearsed encore from our production of The Night the Music Died at Moody Gardens. Note how the audience were all on their feet!

Sad news! A friend of mine, Johnny Crawford has been dealt a horrible blow. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He is now safely in a care center which is very expensive. Johnny worked with me for four years at TFM and we became good friends. As you know, Johnny starred as Mark McCain in the long running TV series, The Rifleman. In the 50's and 60's, kid actors were not taken care of property financially by the studios so Johnny was left out of the re-run income stream of these venues. The treatment and care for Johnny is quite expensive and he needs our help. Paul Peterson, who has done remarkable things to correct this problem for the current kid actors, has launched a Go Fund Me account to help with Johnny's expenses. Won't you join me in supporting Johnny in this uphill fight that he is facing.? I can assure you that he is a very good man and quite deserving of our help. If you watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade tomorrow, you will see hundreds of former TFM performer, Vito Leanza's work. He has built many of the extraordinary costumes used the past few years. This year, he will be marching in his own creation....as a Pencil! Wave to Vito when you see him on the screen!

Former TFM performer, Megan Ort, fresh from Cats on Broadway has been cast in the new tour Soul Doctor...It will open at the Lyceum Theater in San Diego and wind up at the Hirsch Theater in Jerusalem, Israel. She is indeed a rising star!

Congratulations to former TFM performer Antoine L. Smith and former TFM Music Director Andy Einhorn who opens tonight in Carousel on Broadway. Andy is the Music Director and conductor. Antoine recently starred in Broadway's Miss Siagon and Andy was the Music Director and conductor for the famed Hello Dolly on Broadway. Very proud of these fine gentlemen!
