Our History...

Little Town Players was founded in 1975 and incorporated a few years later. Its purpose is to promote the visual, performing and literary arts. Also to promote, organize, rehearse and present theatrical productions for the education, enjoyment, and literary enlightenment of the members of the organization and general public. In the early 80's Little Town Players was presented with

a community service award by then President Ronald Reagan. Stan Butler, the president of LTP at that time, traveled to Washington, DC to receive the award. Through the years, LTP has presented over one hundred drama, musical, or comedy productions. In that time hundreds of volunteers have given thousands of hours to the organization to maintain a high level of theatrical excellence. We are looking forward to continuing in that tradition.

Tomorrow!!! Director Karl Lindevaldsen will be holding auditions for the feel good musical smash, Sister Act, August 2nd-4th at 6:30PM (see below for details!)

Based on the hit 1992 film starring Whoopi
Goldberg, with music by Alan Menken (Beauty and The Beast, Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors,) Sister Act is filled with rousing gospel music and energetic dancing! When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found: a convent. Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church. Sister Act will leave audiences breathless! A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act is a show that makes everyone stand up and cheer!

Auditions will be on Sunday August 2nd & Monday August 3rd at 6:30PM at Little Town Players, and callbacks on Tuesday August 4th at 6:30PM at Bedford Central Library in the Bedford Room. Tonight is OPENING NIGHT of Noises Off! There is nothing like the energy of opening night! Do yourself a favor and get some friends together and come see this hilarious show! You will have a wonderful time and the ticket price is way cheaper than therapy. Who doesn't need some laughs?
