DIY 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐞 Sound Absorption Wall!

I absolutely love how my Audimute room turned out! 🤩 I did this all myself and I would do it again!

Here I’m installing beautiful Audimute Acoustic Planks over top of AcoustiColor Natural. The full build consists of the Planks on top, than a little space, then AcoustiColor pressure fit between studs, more space, then two layers of 5/8” drywall in the back. There is space and insulation behind that as well before the foundation wall so that nothing is touching the existing foundation walls and is essentially a room within a room build.

Diving deep into my studio’s acoustic treatment... I recently installed 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐞 sound absorption materials, and the results are incredible. These materials are not just on top, but 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒕-𝒊𝒏 to the studio construction. Between layers, floor-to-ceiling bass traps, filled in every space, and visually finished on top. So even in places you might not see Audimute... you’ll hear it!

Social Birdie at Las Colinas Golf Club in Queen Creek, AZ, was on the lookout for an ace acoustic treatment for its beautiful dining room when they contacted Audimute.

Working closely with Social Birdie owner/operator Ken Danielson, we teed up a custom acoustic solution using our super-versatile DIY Audimute Strata® Sticks. We coated them to perfectly match the restaurant's banquettes, with Ken and his team seamlessly integrating them into wooden grids throughout the space.

To tackle the rest of the room:

- AcoustiColor® Direct Mount Tiles were coated in white and installed along the pitched ceiling for a subtle, highly effective sound absorption solution.

- A circle-shaped AcoustiColor Accent Ceiling Cloud was suspended above the host stand to ensure clear speech and communication in a high-traffic area.

- Additional DIY Strata Sticks were added along a nearby soffit for extra sound management in the reception area.

The outcome? A visually and acoustically stunning dining room where guests can enjoy Social Birdie's craft cocktails and delicious food without disruptive echo and reverb.
