The American Legion Cemetery located in Beckley, WV adjacent to the Wildwood Cemetery is the resting place for one hundred forty seven Veteran's!

To honor them for Memorial Day, this morning each Tombstone was adorned with a US Flag. Thank you to the Scouts, members of the Civil Air Patrol & everyone who helped with the flags!

Tomorrow, Sunday May 24th at 8pm, there will be a ceremony whereas every Tombstone will have it's own tea light lit! The scene with one hundred forty seven Tombstones glowing in the dark is very moving and one you will never forget!

A brief Veterans Ceremony will be held and the Salvation Army band will be present and playing during the Sunday evening event. Additionally a poem written by a Veteran buried at the American Legion Cemetery will be read.

The public is invited to attend.
