The Right Place at the Right Time

Duluth Police , Fire, and several other agencies responded to a water emergency after receiving a 911 call that a female fell into the water off of Park Point while trying to catch her dog. Sergeant Miketin and Officer Dan Kerfeld arrived and directly went to the area where the female fell in the water. They directed fire personnel to the female and they were able to pull the female from the frigid water. The female was treated at the scene and released.

Duluth Police would like to thank Kirk who saw the female fall into the water and immediately called for assistance. Kirk also ran to his vehicle at one point and grabbed jumper cables in attempt to pull the female to safety. Kirk was in the right place at the right time to save this individuals life. Excellent work!
