Indoor Percussion starts next week with try it out days on November 4th and 7th from 6-9pm at Southridge High School. Beaverton High School is joining up with us this season and I think it’s going to be amazing!! Please fill out the insterest form and join us! Hope to see you there 🥁❤️

Southridge Band Program students will be playing their instruments for donations this Saturday, October 25th from 10am-4pm at Nexus Church on Hall Blvd. We are accepting monetary donations as well as returnable bottles and cans!

Parent preview was last night and this show is looking to be a fun one! We are incredibly thankful to Beaverton HS for allowing us to march with them this season. We will be participating in three different local competitions this season and we would love to see you there!! Liberty HS 9/27, Sunset HS 10/18 and Finals at Hillsboro Stadium 11/1.

Our band program's final concert of the school year is tomorrow night at 7pm in the SRHS Auditorium! Our Jazz Band, Concert & Symphonic Bands, and Wind Ensemble are performing a wonderful set of music, and we will be honoring our graduating seniors in the Class of 2025.

Admission is free! See you there!

Come one, come all! Tonight is our band program's Spring Concert. Our Jazz Band, combined Concert & Symphonic Bands, and Wind Ensemble will be performing their recent festival sets at 7pm in the SRHS Auditorium.

Admission is free! Come for an evening of excellent music, including the works of Bobby Timmons, Craig Skeffington, Doug Beach & George Shutack, Carol Brittin Chambers, Randall Standridge, and Frank Ticheli.

PLEASE READ: A note from Mr. Kane!!

SIMDE Band Families,
My name is Jeremy Kane. I am the director of bands at Conestoga Middle School. I am directing the Southridge Pep Band for basketball playoffs. I have had a blast with the band through the first two rounds of the playoffs at Southridge. During the tournament's first two rounds, we had a strong core of students making exceptional music at Southridge. We need every band student at games this week at the Chiles Center!
I’m Too Busy..
It is easy to dismiss these events as inconsequential, but they are anything but. This is the band's opportunity to show thousands of people (televised 6A games) what the Southridge Band is all about. If your student can participate, I need them with us. Yes, it’s inconvenient and may seem overwhelming for some, me included, but I guarantee your young musicians will be happy they participated in this event.
Social Skill Building…
This is a quintessential community-building social event that is incredibly important for our kids' social development. Events like this are seminal in developing real-world social connections, enabling students to form relationships and participate in shared community activities in the real world, not online through phones and screens.
The Band Needs You…
The band's potential to build social collateral within Southridge HS culture amongst the student body, cheerleaders, athletes, coaches, and the administration is not to be dismissed. Every single student is essential in creating the school and band community we want to be surrounded by and supported by. Please encourage your student to attend the basketball games this week. Events like these are the backbone of school and band culture.
