Ok so I’d like to take a moment to show you these little alter kits I’ve been dreaming up. (Thank you to for some inspiration!) vintage rabbit pelt, antler, pheasant feathers, and an altar broom! I’ll have 3 available tonight at ‘s event for Lughnasadh! You can also find a few at next Friday in Salem!

I love a cauldron. This little guy is a tad wonky, I had a broken foot I was worried would pop off again easily (hence the unplanned dip in the stoney matte glaze), and one of his arms try and split off the body but we made it out of the kiln in the end! I -might- keep him but we shall see.
I’ve decided to stick to 3 clay bodies for now, this speckled white clay, the speckled gold clay, and the speckled black clay. The colors speak to my soul. I’m sure I’ll shake it up a bit here and there- I do have some fun clay stains I want to try!- but I just love these three and the color palette I’m sticking to.
This cauldron in particular has a small bit of black and gold clay that’s barely visible on the inside; peep the last slide to see it! I want to incorporate some more marbling in my pieces in the future. These three clay bodies are so pretty together! I hand sketched the design in pencil before under-glazing the design- sometimes I stare at a piece for a while before I sketch. These pieces tend to be less detailed but just as pretty!

I finished the first illustration the other day and decided it needed a place on the grid. I used some old engravings from old books for this and I think they go together well!
That little rabbit on the next slide was finished this morning. I wanted to give the little guy I sketched up yesterday the digital treatment while keeping the hand drawn quality and I think I accomplished it!
