Over time, we have definitely gained an appreciation for wooden goods...especially handmade wooden goods!π
We wanted to share a quick and easy way that we preserve our wooden treasures at home and keep them looking fresh!
What you will need:
Beeswax
Food grade mineral oil
A cloth or paper towel
microwave safe glass container
Something to stir with
A container to store your finished butter
We use a large wax melting crock..but you can use a crockpot, microwave safe glass, or whatever method you would like to melt your beeswax. (Depends on what you have and how much you plan to make!)
Thoroughly mix the food grade mineral oil into the bees wax, pour into a heat resistant container and let cool/solidify.
Once the mixture becomes solid, take your freshly washed and dried cutting board and apply with your hand or a cloth. Let sit for 10-20 minutes and wipe off! Voila! Protected and fresh looking wooden treasures that will last for years to come! β¨
