Hope everyone's having a great summer! We're on break until September 12th, but I will be calling an Advanced ECD this Sunday for the Portland Country Dance Community at the Renaissance School of Arts & Sciences this Sunday, August 9th, 3-5 p.m. If you want some challenging dances, done to gorgeous live music, this is for you! I'm so excited about tonight's dance. Live music AND new gems of dances. The first half of the evening is ::entirely:: made up of newly published dances, some only a year or two old! I love the fact that English Country Dancing isn't just a historical relic - it's a living danceform, that has changed and grown over the years, and my friends, we are living in an English Country Dance RENAISSANCE right now!
