Hello everyone!
I'm trying to roll out my Game On Academy after school camp / summer camp.
This program is for kids around the age of 7-12. Each session lasts 3 hours and I am flexible on start times, etc. I'd like it be a 5 day camp with a new lesson each day. I have all the necessary equipment and software, and the store location of my family busines here in Beaverton. (Www.gameonpnw.com)
We take lessons in world history, Math and Science, English lit, and other subjects and incorporate them into games of Minecraft where the kids then build something related to the lesson. We have a show and tell of what the children created and then do some type of game or contest related to their builds to wrap up the session.
Each student gets a daypass to Game On eSports after finishing the 5 sessions, and I'm working with some corporate sponsors to see if I can get us pizza parties, prizes, or even sponsorships to help give kids in low income situations an opportunity to come participate.

I'm hoping to add more and more lessons and keep things fresh and fun as the summer goes on.
I would start in May and have 4 weekly camps, with 10-12 spots per camp. This would continue weekly through the summer and go back to being an after school camp once the school year starts up again.
