We wanted to take the time to share a band member we are incredibly proud of and the opportunity he had.

Austin Bridge is a senior this year and is a part of our Wind Symphony and Marching Band. He plays the tuba/sousaphone and played contra for The Cavaliers (marching tuba).

The Cavaliers finished 8th at the DCI World Championships this summer and had their best season in the last several years. The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, also known as “The Green Machine,” is a World Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Rosemont, Illinois. The Cavaliers were one of the thirteen founding member corps of Drum Corps International and are seven-time DCI World Champions. The Cavaliers are the only active all-male corps remaining in the activity. 🎶

We are more than pleased to say that Austin is back with us for the rest of the marching season! He is very grateful for this opportunity, which he worked hard for and truly deserved! 🧡🖤

Band Camp 2026‼️

We just finished up band camp last week! Students spent their time learning the drill and music for the first segment of our show🦫 Each day we had different activities relating to our stripes (Discipline, Citizenship, Dedication, Focus, and Unity), along with our theme days. We are so proud of our hardworking students and of how much we managed to complete this past week!

Special thanks to everyone who volunteered to help feed us and take care of us this week. We couldn't have had band camp without you all🧡🖤

This week we are back to our normal 8am-3pm schedule, with no practice on Friday.

Last Friday, we said goodbye to our seniors. Throughout their four years, they have made a resounding impact on the community and the program. They will be missed, but we believe that they will all go on to do amazing things. And remember, the BHS marching band and color guard will always have a home for you to return to 🖤🧡

Last Friday, our 8th graders joined us for Mini Camp! The evening started off with a meeting to reveal our 2026 show, “Not Quite Rite.” 🦫

We introduced marching basics to our incoming new members, followed by a pizza dinner. 🍕 Students performed our fight song, followed by the pep tune “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish!

Reminder that marching band commitment forms are due May 4th at 11:59pm. 🧡🖤
