Friday night: the Stray Cat Social, a hands-on evening where you make something, meet our artists, and see a real working studio from the inside. $10, all welcome. RSVP required.

Saturday: our Fall Artist Market + Studio Tour — free to shop, full of handmade fall and Halloween art, live demos, and the makers themselves. Just pop in!

Meet Joanne Martin — proof that "emerging artist" has nothing to do with age.

In her 60s, Joanne is drawn to the mystery and freedom of abstract painting. She works intuitively — inks, acrylics, collage — and lately she's been making her own paints from garden-grown plants and foraged materials.

Her work isn't after pretty for pretty's sake. It leans toward provocation, toward a sense of place, toward the harder questions about the world we share.

When she's not at her easel here, she's working to make local industry safer for people and the planet — or out in the woods with her german shepherds and mini donkeys.

Coil building is one of the oldest techniques in ceramics — thousands of years old and still the way a lot of members love to work. Roll, stack, blend, repeat. Every piece starts somewhere.
