Also the pictures DO NOT give these the justice they deserve. Green to purple colorshift metallic over black with the space dust, stars, and logo on top.
This Co****le Set went out to some lucky Buck... AKA my boss, Dan. After the Bender in space set Devin and I made last winter, Dan and I talked about the colorshift paint I used and then I realized the colors were just right for this. When inspiration strikes you have to jump on it, right? Well that inspo had me (you guessed it) SPRAY PAINTING DURING WINTER....again.
Anyway, learning time! (of all sets to have issues, this was the best set for that, bosses like to see you troubleshoot and learn, this type of art does tie into some of my job skills, and as a gift there was no loss for the recipient) I used a different base coat from last time ans I learned some things about adhesion and priming. (Its rare that I didnt prime so who knows what I was thinking) Also I swore off spray paint for most solid stencils. The next set we have coming is a commission and should be done mid-august. I think my new system is working well. I'm very excited to complete it!
