LaurasLoom Handwoven tapestries and accessories made from all natural fiber. When I retired from my day job I began working full time on my weaving business.

I began weaving and spinning yarns about 15 years ago, while working full time in the aerospace industry. I love all kinds of yarn and the wonderful products that are both functional and beautiful made from yarn. Everyday I go to my studio and weave and plan for my next project. I am currently focusing on tapestry. I began weaving tapestry to highlight social commentary, especially for Women’s Rights.

I just finished all the pieces to make 2 leather purses. I dyed one lamb skin hide in weld and one lamb skin hide I eco printed with flowers. Then I cut out the pieces for a purse from both and mixed them to make two color blocked purses. Now to the stitching!!!

I’m also going to have eye glass cases from the scraps.
