Insane tiger Billy did today!

This one came together really nice.

The tiger is the focal point, but I wanted the whole forearm to feel like one continuous piece instead of just stacking animals on top of each other. The foliage helps tie the tiger into the lion above and keeps the sleeve moving naturally down toward the wrist.

Still more to come, but I’m really happy with where this one is headed.

MEET THE ARTIST 🔥 BLADY 🔥

If you’ve been following Apex, you’ve probably seen Blady around the shop. If you haven’t gotten to know him yet, it’s time.

Blady has been tattooing professionally for 4 years, but his journey started about three years before that, when he began learning the craft and working through his apprenticeship.

That means this wasn’t something he picked up yesterday.

He’s spent years learning the fundamentals, putting in the repetitions, experimenting with different styles, and continuing to develop his own voice as an artist.

And that range is starting to show.

Scroll through his work and you’ll see everything from black & grey and illustrative pieces to lettering, fine-line work, pop-culture designs and color. He isn't afraid to take on something different, and we're continuing to push his range here at Apex.

One of the things I want Apex to be known for is having artists at different points in their careers who are actually serious about getting better.

Blady fits that.

He’s hungry. He’s putting in the work. And I'm excited to see where his tattooing goes from here.
