Hosted by Windhorse ~ Gallery & Marketplace, this year’s event brings a fresh lineup of extraordinary artists straight to Port Royal, along with a deeply meaningful purpose.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved artists from our inaugural year, Jessica Graham of Augusta, Georgia.

Despite a weekend of cold, wet weather last year, Jessica filled our town with warmth, joy, and an unwavering smile. Her kindness and artistic spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. We are proud to dedicate this year’s event to Jessica’s cherished memory and the beautiful light she brought into the world through her art and presence.🌿🕊️

Teamwork is essential to the success of a thriving local nonprofit organization. At BAA we are supported by a dedicated community of 87 exhibiting members who showcase their work in the Gallery daily, along with 81 general supporting members who contribute to the smooth operation of our organization. Now in our 69th year, we are proud of our longstanding presence in Beaufort and throughout the Lowcountry and look forward to many more years of artistic engagement. 🎨 A Weekend to Remember in Port Royal! // October 10–12, 2025 | Port Royal, SC 🎨

Despite a stormy nor’easter, the Inaugural Port Royal Plein Air Invitational unfolded into a truly magical celebration of creativity, community, and the beauty of the Lowcountry. Over the course of three days, 14 incredibly talented artists painted live across town—capturing mossy oaks, marsh vistas, quiet corners, and the spirit of Port Royal en plein air. From a warm Welcome Reception at Windhorse Gallery to live painting in the wind and rain, and a stunning Wet Paint Finale Exhibit, the weekend was filled with unforgettable moments and beautiful work, now on view through the end of October.

Congratulations to our award winners: People’s Palette went to (public vote), Curator’s Canvas to (selected by guest judge Vivian Hornsby), and Spirit of the Scene to (voted by artists and organizers).
