Murphy Irish Arts Center The Murphy Irish Arts Center was founded in 1978 by Sheila Murphy Crawford. The Dance School has both boys and girls participating.

We are dedicated to preserving Irish culture and the art of Irish Dance, and to share our heritage by offering Irish dance classes in Beachwood and Willoughby Ohio, competing, and sharing Irish Dance with the community through shows and service. Sheila is a certified Irish Dance Instructor and Adjudicator of An Commissum - the world governing organization of Irish Dance. In addition to her support

of the Center, Sheila is an active member of the Cleveland Irish Community, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Irish Cultural Gardens. The dancers range in age from 5 to 55. Irish heritage is not required, all nationalities are welcome. The Murphy Irish Dancers are dedicated to preserving Irish culture and the art of Irish dance.

💚Our first “Try it Out” camp was such a success!! 2 locations, 30+ new friends, and countless laughs and memories!!

Our newest dancers got to practice some new steps, listen to and learn the rhythm of Irish reels and jigs, practice skills like balance and counting, and of course doing some fun crafts!!!

The future of Irish dance is bright!
