It has been our pleasure to partner with the City of Baytown and an advisory team of artists, businesses and volunteers, to bring this to fruition. In a few short months we will be sending out a call for artists so that we can bring a fresh new exhibit to Baytown in April of next year. If you would like to be a part of this program in any way, please contact us. We hope that you will visit the Sculpture Trail and spread the word. We are here to stay!!

Another couple who knows the value of public art in a community, and has sponsored the Baytown Sculpture since its inception, is David and Billie Brinkley. Almost everyone knows them and how they support the arts! We are proud to have them sponsor a new artist, Caroline Walker, from Austin and her sculpture titled “ Knopsic Dwelling”, inviting viewers to consider the emotional landscapes of shelter, displacement, community, isolation and the traces people leave behind. It is located across from the Brunson and you can find the People’s Choice ballot & guide brochures close by in front of the Utility building. Be sure to grab one and vote for 2 of your favorites soon and drop it in the red box on the lamp post.

The Baytown Sculpture Trail was honored recently in the Texas Society of Sculptors newsletter by their President and one of our sculptors, Elizabeth Bonura. Thank you Elizabeth!

“Congratulations to all of the artists participating in the Baytown Sculpture Trail. Being selected for a show like this is no small thing—it’s an incredible opportunity to share your work with a wider audience and be part of something meaningful.

What stood out to me most wasn’t just the artwork—it was the experience of being together. Spending time with other sculptors, talking, sharing ideas, techniques, materials, even suppliers… that kind of connection is energizing. I left feeling inspired and reminded of something important:this is what I want more of.’
