It has been our pleasure to partner with the City of Baytown and an advisory team of artists, businesses and volunteers, to bring this to fruition. In a few short months we will be sending out a call for artists so that we can bring a fresh new exhibit to Baytown in April of next year. If you would like to be a part of this program in any way, please contact us. We hope that you will visit the Sculpture Trail and spread the word. We are here to stay!!

We want to thank ExxonMobil for all the support they have given The Baytown Sculpture since it started five years ago! Exxon is represented by Mercedes Smith, Public & Government Affairs Manager, with this sculpture titled "There" by Susan Geissler, Youngstown, NY. Susan is a well-known sculptor who specializes in detailed historical depictions in bronze. This sculpture depicts a teenage Civil War "scout" pointing the way to safety for her comrades-in-arms. Baytown is lucky to have such quality public art from not only across Texas, but Colorado, Ohio, New York, and New Mexico. Take the 3-block walk and enjoy all 25 of the sculptures and read the artist's descriptions. Get a brochure guide at one of the 3 red boxes on lamp posts along W. Texas Ave. and use the ballot to vote for your 2 favorites for People's Choice. The whole family can vote!

Joel & Cherie Melendez are new sponsors this year and we are excited to have them join us in working to help revitalize Baytown's Downtown Arts District. It is people like them who can keep this going! Located in front of 3 of the best restaurants in Baytown, Bocanegras, Sabor, & Wazabi, this sculpture is titled "Tenderness" by returning sculptor from Colorado, Reno Carollo. It is 3-D printed! Look for the red boxes on the lamp posts at either corner of the block and get a Sculpture Trail brochure & map. Take a stroll and visit all 25 sculptures, drop in for a good meal and some great ice cream. While you are eating, fill out the voting ballot for the People's Choice award and drop it in one of the red ballot boxes. That's it! Easy peasy & fun.

We had a good day at the Baytown Sun’s Senior Expo & gathered lots of People’s Choice votes. It’s hard for people to chose just 2 favorites! It was great talking to everyone about them & learning how much people love them. Ballots and brochures are available on the lamp posts across from Town Square and in front of the Utility Building by the Brunson.
