Music From The Marsh Summer Concerts

Michigan State Parks & the Friends of Bay City State Park are proud to present an evening of music and entertainment!

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Friends of Bay City State Park are proud to present an evening of enchanting entertainment for the entire family, as they continue their touring cultural arts series, “Music From the Marsh." Performances will take place on Saturdays, 7:00-8:00 pm, on the Saginaw Bay Visitor Center lawn stage, located inside Bay City State Park. Admission is Free

; however, all motor vehicles entering the park must display the annual Recreation Passport ($17 when purchased at the park; $12 when purchased when renewing your vehicle registration). Best place to purchase it is at the campground office on the other side of State Park Dr. Donation bucket is passed at the concert and your contribution is appreciated but not required. Bring lawn chairs and bug repellant just in case. Rain location on site inside the Visitor Center.

Tomorrow night, Saturday, August 29th at 7pm, the Katherine Ryan Band will be performing at the Music from the Marsh Free Concert Series at the Bay City State Park Outdoor Stage!! She will be bringing different genres to her concert including blues, jazz, Americana, and classic pop!! **In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Visitor Center Auditorium!

SONAS will be performing this week Saturday, August 22nd at 7pm, at the Music from the Marsh Free Concert Series at the Bay City State Park Outdoor Theater!! "SONAS" A traditional Celtic music group featuring hammered dulcimer, fiddle and guitar. A very solid musical group that will liven up any event! Sonas is a group of 3 friends that have been playing together for almost 25 years. We have over 100 years of musical experience between us. DD Tibbits on hammered Dulcimer and Irish whistle, Kelly on Fiddle and mandolin and Banjo, and Tom Krause on guitar in bouzouki. This group makes some beautiful and lively music. ** In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the Bay City State Park Visitor Center Auditorium!!

This week at Music from the Marsh, Saturday, August 15th at 7pm will be Muzyka!! Americana/folk band, although many different genres are in their bag of tricks! Muzyka! is comprised of Lee Anne Whitman, on guitar and singing lead and harmony vocals, Johnny Hunt, playing the banjo, mandolin, guitar and baritone vocals, and Hillary Huebler, who can sing just about any part you’d like and plays the pennywhistle, the fiddle and mandolin!

Tonight at Music from the Marsh The Louie Longoria Band will be performing!! They return to perform some great country at The Saginaw Bay Waterfowl Festival at the Bay City State Park at Shelter 1 and 2. Show starts at 7pm. In case of inclement weather, the show will be moved into the auditorium in the Visitor Center. Louie has been performing for years, has been recording since the early 2000s and has continued to perform around Michigan and its surrounding areas. He has been inducted into The Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame!!
