I’m not a “metal” person by nature, but do you know who I think might have been? Edgar Allen Poe. That’s why our upcoming production of “The Fall of the House of Usher” will include a horror-driven music score comprised of screaming guitars, haunting synthesizers, and aggressive percussion.
“The Haunted Palace” is a poem the character Roderick sings to himself while playing guitar in “The Fall of the House of Usher.” Though the poem will be presented differently in the audio drama, inspiration flowed, and I also created the version heard here. Perhaps it will be a companion piece? Something to play under the credits? We’ll have to find out!
