"The Bay City Fireworks Festival Board of Directors works tirelessly throughout the year to ensure our festival remains a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly event for everyone who attends.
Each year, we invest tens of thousands of dollars in professional security services. These dedicated men and women work diligently alongside our law enforcement partners to help keep our festival safe. Because of their vigilance, weapons and other prohibited contraband are routinely intercepted before they ever enter the festival grounds, creating an environment that is often safer inside the festival than outside of it.
I applaud our security personnel and our law enforcement agencies for their unwavering commitment and professionalism. Their hard work, year after year, allows hundreds of thousands of people to enjoy the festival with confidence and peace of mind.
The safe environment they help create is one of the many reasons our Board of Directors and volunteers are proud to attend the festival with our own families, right alongside the rest of the community. We have complete confidence in the event we work so hard to produce, and we are grateful to everyone who plays a role in making it a safe and enjoyable experience for all."

Now that I've had a little time to relax and catch my breath, I wanted to take a moment to simply say thank you.

Thank you to our Board of Directors, who work tirelessly year-round to plan, organize, execute, and clean up after this incredible festival.

Thank you to the countless volunteers who give up part of their holiday weekend to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your dedication and willingness to serve are what make this event possible.

Thank you to our local businesses and sponsors who support us each year—whether through major sponsorships, writing a check, donating goods or services, or contributing in any way. Your generosity allows this tradition to continue year after year.

And finally, thank you to everyone who comes out to enjoy the festival. Whether you paid admission to Wenonah Park or Vets Park, attended a concert, enjoyed the rides with Skerbeck Family Carnival, purchased food or drinks from our vendors, attended a concert or made a direct donation to the festival, you played a part in making this celebration a success.

To everyone who has reached out over the past couple of days to say "thank you," please know how much it means to me. I haven't had the opportunity to respond to everyone personally, but I want you to know that I truly appreciate every message.

Are you ready to get FIRED UP FOR THE 80's? Wheelz 104.5 presents HAIRMANIA with special guests Hipakritz. Well it gets better! Festival President Earl Bovia will have to complete Hairball John’s challenge by performing karaoke in front of the entire crowd at tonight's show. But like every Sunset Strip band's dream, Earl has gone from opening act to headliner without a single performance under his belt. Not only will he be taking the stage, he'll also be fronting HairMania for one special song during their set.
