Despite the rain, we still rocked the State Theatre last night! 🎶

The day started with a fantastic Young People's Summer Series. More than 100 kids joined in the fun with Dennis Beson's Dance Party, singing, dancing, and making memories together. Families also enjoyed free lunch from Bay City Public Schools and free books courtesy of the Bay County Library System!

As the weather rolled in, Wednesdays in the Park moved indoors, but that didn't stop the fun. Sarah Schingeck kicked off the evening with a great opening performance before Shakedown: A Bob Seger Tribute brought the energy and packed the State Theatre with classic hits and an incredible crowd!

The best part? Every one of these activities is FREE to attend thanks to our generous sponsors and community donations. We are so grateful for your continued support!

With some weather uncertainty in the mix, tonight's Wednesdays in the Park concert featuring a Bob Seger Tribute is heading indoors to the State Theatre, 913 Washington Avenue 🎶

Schedule:
Doors open at 5:30
Opener, Sarah Schingeck at 6:30
Shakedown will hit the stage at 7:00

A few things to know:
👉 Seating is limited to 550 people - first come, first served
👉 No outside food or drinks allowed
👉 Concessions will be available

Even if the skies clear up, moving indoors was necessary, big shows like this take hours of setup and sound checks, and there's just no last-minute flip switch.

We're excited to kick off the 2026 Wednesdays in the Park Concert Series tomorrow, June 17, with Shakedown, a Bob Seger Tribute, and opening act Sarah Schingeck! ☀

The Young People's Summer Series also begins tomorrow at 11:15 AM in the Wenonah Park Pavilion. Kiddos 0-18 can enjoy free lunch, free books, and entertainment!

🌩 SEVERE WEATHER PLAN 🌩
With the potential for severe weather in the forecast, the concert may be moved indoors to the State Theatre, located at 913 Washington Ave. Any changes will be announced on June 17th through the Downtown Bay City Facebook and Instagram pages.

If severe weather or storms are expected, the concert will move indoors. If there is only rain in the forecast, the concert will proceed as scheduled in Wenonah Park. The Young People's Summer Series will be canceled in the event of severe weather.

Return rides will depart from Wenonah Park at 9:00 PM.
