Hi, I wasnt sure if I should post this, but I really think it should be spoken about.
I try real hard to give teens respect when they come in the studio. I even show them around and once in a while, Ill even let them take one selfie or take one for them of their group, if they arent too wild and disrespectful.
As long as they are respectful, Ill tell them about the props in there and show them how the old things work. (I have a diner and 2 vintage rooms that look like a museum to them :) )
But Friday night when I was in the back switching laundry over, a group of three teen girls came in. They ducked under and went beyond the stanchions and were whispering and even tip toeing throughout the studio. They knew what they were doing was wrong, yet continued throughout anyway.
Normally this wouldnt bother me much but I had backdrops and lights set up specifically for a paid shoot that was happening, specifically for a certain group of people. These backdrops are not for the public. The girls were taking selfies throughout the studio from 8:24 pm to 8:27pm and they took some on the backdrops I had set up for others.
So essentially, this is the same as stealing because those backdrops were not theirs to be taking selfies on. There is a free one in the front but otherwise, I charge an hourly fee to take selfies in the studio.
I heard them as they were leaving and saw them outside of the studio but did not say anything at the time because I had to confirm it was them on my cameras.
Please, if you are letting your children roam the mall, teach them that they shouldnt be going beyond boundaries, closed doors, curtains and stanchions...this is trespassing. And what they did was stealing.
Please teach them manners.
There are many teens that come in there with a lot of good manners and I would hate for a few teens with no manners ruin it for the ones who do.
If you recognize these 3 as your teens, please have a talk with them.
Faces not shown due to them being minors.
