HI JFK Families...I was out walking tonight and decided to listen to Dolly Parton to honor her passing. "A Coat of Many Colors" played, and I found myself fondly remembering a coat my mom sewed for me. Like Dolly, we were "rich" in family and didn't have many material things. When I needed a new coat, we could not afford one. Mom took one of her old coats and repurposed it into a coat for me. I loved that coat. Thanks, Mom, for the coat and the family values. We were "rich" and "blessed." My Grandma knit the mittens. I have no idea how I was holding our cat Midnight, as I am so allergic to cats. Look how happy I am in my new coat.
