Our Story

Hello, I am Diane and here is my story.

While in this journey with my Mother in her adult care home, there were days I saw pain, sadness, and frustration… But I was also witness to some amazing magic. On the days the “activity lady” visited, I watched the resident’s faces light up, smiles come out, and sweet interactions with each other take place. It was like the sun broke through the clouds! I knew I wanted to be part of the joy that activities, conversation, and genuine companionship can bring. I developed a friendship, and later a working relationship with the activity coordinator.

Today, I am that “activity lady.” Hello Sunshine is my way of carrying on my mother’s love and an opportunity to spread compassion to others through activities, crafts, games, baking, and physical interaction. Do you want a little more sunshine in the lives of your residents? Let’s talk! I look forward to meeting you to work out a plan to spread some sunshine to the seniors in your community.
