What a month it's been!
Our production of Much Ado About Nothing welcomed hundreds of patrons into our space, and the response has been incredible. We've heard so many stories from audience members who are excited to see live theatre thriving in our community again, and we're already getting questions about what's next.
As we celebrate the success of Much Ado, we're also hard at work planning our next production and building a sustainable future for Mid City Civic Theatre.
The truth is that while productions come and go, the day-to-day costs of operating a theatre never stop. Utilities, maintenance, insurance, supplies, and all the behind-the-scenes expenses required to keep our doors open are supported through our New Day Fund.
Our goal is to raise $75,000, which represents approximately six months of basic operating expenses for the theatre, even without productions or special events. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we've already raised $31,293, putting us more than 40% of the way there.
A gift to the New Day Fund helps ensure that our stage stays lit, our doors stay open, and our community continues to have a home for live theatre.
