This!!!
Not everyone is your customer. Some people have already made up their minds about what a DJ is worth, and no amount of arguing is going to change that.
But weddings don’t have do-overs.
I’ve seen weddings without a DJ where the ceremony is already running 20 minutes behind, and now several family members are scrambling to figure out how to connect a phone to the venue’s speaker system—only to realize there’s no service and nobody downloaded the song.
Does every wedding need a DJ? No. Everyone has different expectations and priorities.
But if you want someone dedicated to managing the music, handling announcements, adapting when the timeline changes, troubleshooting audio problems, and ultimately creating a great dance floor, a professional DJ can be worth a lot more than simply looking at the hourly rate.
