Our last big fundraiser of the year!
The band boosters are raffling off this cooler full of merchandise ( Tiger sweatshirt, stadium seats, clear bags and more!) and over $600 of gift cards from restaurants, boutiques and other stores in the area!

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Catch a band student to purchase tickets!
You can also contact one of the booster officers to grab some tickets.
Winner will be drawn at the May 1st Spring Band Concert.

This would make a great graduation or birthday gift!

Our flute instructor, Jennifer Whitehead, had the opportunity to visit South Panola Junior High to work with the 6th grade band students this past week! Thank you to Jon Young, interim middle school director, for the invitation while our Northwest alumna Carly Lambert is on maternity leave.

It was especially meaningful, as Mrs. Whitehead had the opportunity to teach Carly (trumpet player) flute lessons during her time as a student at Northwest. Carly has done a fantastic job starting these budding flutists, and Mr. Young is doing wonderful things continuing their progress while she is away.

It is always great to see strong music programs and young students excited about learning and making music!

Congratulations to BJHS 8th grader Will Reinemann on being selected for the MS ASBDA Middle School All-State Band! 🎶

Will will travel to Pearl River Community College this May, where he will join other All-State musicians for a multi-day rehearsal experience culminating in a concert.

He was one of only four alto saxophone players chosen from across the state who auditioned—an outstanding accomplishment!

We’re proud of you, Will! 🎷👏

The South Panola High School Symphonic Band earned superior ratings in both concert performance and sightreading at the MHSAA State Band Evaluation today at Northwest Mississippi Community College. Congratulations!

This week, the following students were selected to perform and represent our band program at the Mississippi Bandmasters Association Convention in Natchez, MS: Will Reinemann, Ellis Whittington, Reanah Thetford, and Kirstyn Shegog. We are extremely proud of their dedication for musical excellence!

Congratulations to Hanna Talley and Bailey McKee on making it to round 2 of auditions for the Mississippi Lion's All-State Band. They will travel back to Pearl next week for the final round for a chance to earn a spot.

Also congratulations to Reanah Thetford, Rosa Lee Sprouse, Owen Morris, Clay Russo, and Will Reinemann (BJH) on auditioning as well. By preparing for this audition, you have made not only yourselves better but our program as well.
