Football and Volleyball and Soccer, OH MY!

Iā€™m back at it painting custom sports balls! I opened my orders back up on October 1st after taking the Summer off & already have a 6week waitlist šŸ˜³. You guys are gonna keep me busy this season, I can already tell! I love all the fun requests coming my way!

Fifth and sixth graders each made a 3D Mondrian-inspired Cubism Pyramid with primary colors & I was able to get their display up in the hall in time for Meet The Teacher Night last week. My favorite part is hearing the kidsā€™s ā€œohhs and ahhsā€ in the hallway over their brother or sisterā€™s art when they walk by.

Have I introduced you to our Art Room Class Pet? Her name is Lucy Goosey and she lives on my desk & the kids LOVE her! She changes outfits occasionally and recently she wanted to dress up as Bob Ross and do some paintingšŸ¤£. **ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS**

Itā€™s October, and as promised, my Custom Sports Ball Orders are officially open again!

Here are some FAQā€™s:

HOW MUCH ARE THE CUSTOM HAND-PAINTED SPORTS BALLS?

ā€¢Basketballs, Volleyballs, Soccer Balls, and Footballs start at $165 (this includes the athleteā€™s name, number, graduating class, school name and mascot. Bling or extra logos/ text is an extra charge). The cost of the ball is included in this price. If you provide a special game ball to be painted on, I will lower the price accordingly.
ā€¢ Teacher Jeans/ Senior Jeans/ Concert Jean Jackets are also available. Price starts at $125 (depending on how many things Iā€™m painting and how detailed, etc.)
ā€¢ I will not be offering hockey pucks this year- too tiny, too many coats of paint, too much of a pain to paint on a slick surface. Golf balls are also too small for me to paint on. (Iā€™m sure Etsy has some shops that would be happy to engrave one for you!). Tennis balls are too fuzzy and pickleballs are tooā€¦ hole-y.šŸ¤Ŗ

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

ā€¢Wait time starts at 3 weeks
ā€¢I will only be accepting 3 orders per week. Once the three spots are filled, the waitlist begins.
ā€¢ Any rush orders (less than 3 weeks) will have an additional fee of $50 per ball added on, (more if you need it in less than a week). Last year I had so many ā€œI need this by Fridayā€ orders. I am a mom of 4 & recently started a new job, so I will no longer be able to guarantee that I can accommodate those last minute orders. Thank you for your understanding.

HOW DO I PAY?

ā€¢ I accept cash or Venmo at the time of pickup- I want to make sure you are happy with the item first. No deposit necessary at this time.
ā€¢ I do offer a discount to any local SJRS or NDHS families. I also offer a discount if you are ordering more than four team balls at a time.
ā€¢ Local orders only, I am not offering shipping at this time.

The Art Teacher takes on NYCā€¦ had to bring a tiny sketchbook with me, of course! Tell me all the things we need to do and see (and eat!). We have lived in NY for 6+ years now and Iā€™ve never made it in to the city!
