Today, we’re saying a bittersweet goodbye to our wonderful Customer Relations Advisor, Cori Freebourn!

Cori has been such an important part of the Batavia Park District team, bringing kindness, positivity and plenty of heart to everything she does. We’re so grateful for the time, talent and care she has shared with our staff and community.

While we’ll definitely miss seeing her around the District, we’re excited for Cori as she begins a new chapter focused on what matters most—spending more time with her family. ❤️

Thank you, Cori, for everything you’ve done for Batavia Park District! We’ll miss you and wish you and your family nothing but the very best in this next adventure!

As summer comes to an end, we’re taking a moment to celebrate and thank our fabulous interns for an incredible summer of learning, growing and making a difference at the Batavia Park District!

Our Recreation Interns, Olivia and Cam, dove into programs, special events, risk management and so much more. Our Athletics Intern, Anna, learned the ins and outs of our athletics programs, recreation programs, and field maintenance. Riley, our Marketing Intern, helped bring our summer and fall events to life by designing graphics and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the world of park district marketing. Anna, Olivia, Cam and Riley planned our annual Popsicles in the Park event! And our Batavia Depot Museum Interns, Adam, Ethan and Hope, gained hands-on experience with collections, preservation and archiving.

One thing we’re especially proud of is our immersive internship experience. Our interns don’t just learn about their individual departments—they get the opportunity to explore other areas of the District, meet staff from across the organization and see how all the moving pieces come together. Because at the Batavia Park District, we’re one District, and it takes all of us to make it happen!

We’re so grateful Olivia, Cam, Anna, Riley, Adam, Ethan and Hope spent their summer with us. Thank you for bringing your ideas, energy and enthusiasm to the District!

The future is bright! ✨
