Nakama Studio Cincy Nakama means "friend that is like family" in Japanese. The studio offers enrichment classes & events.

We offer a year-round Reading Program for kids to earn prizes. We have a free library cabinet outside of the studio that is regularly stocked with art & craft supplies, books and activity books.

Yesterday was such an amazing day.

I am still feeling so incredibly grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate 5 years of Nakama Studio with us. Seeing so many members of our community here, spending time together, creating, laughing and supporting the studio meant more to me than I can put into words.

We had such a great time, and I truly hope everyone who joined us did too.

A huge thank you to Wendy for providing face painting, and to Wendy and Janis for bringing their slushy machines for us to use and for helping throughout the entire day.

Thank you to Eryka for helping with setup, throughout the event and with cleanup, and to the members of our community who jumped in at the end to help us get everything cleaned up and put back together.

And thank you to Teresa with My Creative Cookies for the absolutely beautiful and delicious lemon and regular sugar cookies. They were stunning!

Days like yesterday remind me exactly why Nakama Studio exists. It has always been about so much more than art and classes. It is about community, connection and the people who have supported this little studio and helped it grow over the last five years.

Thank you for celebrating with us. Thank you for supporting us. And thank you for being part of our Nakama community. ❤️

Our September stained glass classes were PACKED!

We sold out and even had several messages from people trying to get into the class after all of the spots were gone. We seriously cannot thank you all enough for the support you've shown our stained glass classes.

Summer registrations always slow down a little, but the rest of the year these classes sell out incredibly quickly. We have customers who have taken several stained glass classes with us and keep coming back to make different projects, and this month we also had quite a few people who had never been to Nakama before.

One of our favorite things is hearing someone come in and tell us, “I'm not artistic at all,” and then watching them leave with a beautiful stained glass piece they made themselves.

The pumpkin was one of our larger and more time consuming beginner projects, and we were so impressed with how well everyone did, especially those who had never worked with stained glass before!

And these classes really fill our cups too. The three of us enjoy teaching them just as much as our students enjoy taking them. We love catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people and watching someone realize that they absolutely CAN make stained glass.

One customer enjoyed it so much that she purchased one of our Beginner Stained Glass Kits to continue practicing at home. We're ordering supplies for more kits and working on getting more of our pre-cut stained glass pattern kits, glass sheets and other supplies ready for purchase, hopefully in time for holiday gifts. We have a LOT of stained glass plans and, as usual, not nearly enough hours in the day to make them all happen. 😂

And speaking of October...
Our October stained glass class is already down to just TWO spots, and we still have a full month before the class!

Since it filled so far in advance and we've had so many people wanting spots, we've decided to ADD A SECOND OCTOBER CLASS!

These classes have been selling out incredibly quickly, so if you've been wanting to try stained glass with us, don't wait too long to register.

Today’s the day!

We’re celebrating 5 years of Nakama Studio today from 12–3.

Stop by for make-and-take projects, giveaways, anniversary specials, our cryptid hunt, collaborative art, Cookies from My Creative Cookies and Frozen Hot Chocolate and Orange Julius slushies.

Admission is free and no registration is needed.

We have TWO fun events happening this weekend!

Framed Sea Glass Workshop at Sons of Toil Brewing on Sunday, September 27 from 1:00–3:00 PM.

Create your own framed sea glass artwork using colorful glass pieces and your creativity! This is a fun, relaxing workshop and no experience is needed.

Registration closes Saturday, September 26, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to grab your spot!

Nakama Studio’s 5 Year Anniversary Celebration is on Saturday, September 26 from 12:00–3:00 PM at the studio.

We’re celebrating FIVE YEARS of creativity, connection, classes, parties, friendships, and community!

Stop by the studio to celebrate with us, enjoy special anniversary activities, enter our giveaways, and check out our make & take projects.

We’re looking for a new home for our businesses!

We’re starting to explore commercial properties to purchase in Clermont County or Hamilton County, and I figured our community might know about something we haven’t come across yet!

We’re looking for a property that can accommodate both Nakama Studio and my husband’s construction business,AGC Cincy Formerly Anderson Gutter Company, so we have some unique needs.

Ideally, we’re looking for:

• A welcoming, finished space suitable for Nakama Studio classes, workshops, parties and events

• Warehouse/shop space for construction equipment and business operations

• Office space

• Plenty of parking for classes, events and construction machinery

• Room for both businesses to operate comfortably

• A property we can purchase rather than lease

• Located in Clermont County or Hamilton County

It doesn’t have to be a property that’s currently listed! If you own a commercial building you’ve considered selling, know someone who does, or know of a property that might be a great fit, please send me a message.

Nothing is changing with Nakama right now. We’re simply exploring what’s out there and looking ahead to what the next chapter could look like for both of our businesses.

Oops! I keep saying I have plenty of art and craft supplies and don’t have room to get anymore. Impulse control is not my strength. There is so much awesome stuff that I can’t wait to utilize!

The woman we bought the car loads of glass and stained glass supplies from reached out saying she had more, so I went there last week and left with another car load and have plans to go back again. I also got a display rack to use to display our stained glass pieces at the Grant Farm Holiday Market this year.

My husband just loves it!🤪😂
