🖼️ "Material Moves" in the Dempsey Family and Kane County Magazine galleries featuring varied 2D and 3D works by artists Ellie Dale Anderson, April Behnke, Neil Callendar, Bill Conger, Gina Hunt, Beth Humphry, Paul Loughney, Jason Rafferty, and Michael Wille. Curated by David Linneweh.

🖼️ "Portrait" in the Community Gallery — A juried group show exploring what portraiture means, each from their own perspective.

🏺 Clay Maker Pop-Up Sale — Shop handmade ceramics created and fired in-house, and meet the makers.

🍹 WSS Bar — B**r, w**e, and a signature cocktail

🎵 Live Music from Kiss the Sky — a local music institution going strong for 30 years.

🛋️ Warehouse 55 — A curated collection of vintage and antique home goods and wares

🔴Portrait Call for Art is Closing this Sunday at Midnight! 🔴
What purpose do portraits serve today? Is a portrait a reflection in a mirror, or does it capture what the mirror cannot? Do portraits need to be realistic and recognizable, or can a portrait be abstract and non-objective? 👥

·Exhibit Runs: October 9th-December 5th
·Opening Reception: October 9th, 6-9pm

🏆JURYING & AWARDS
·This Exhibit will be juried by the Community Gallery Committee and will be judged by a Guest Judge, Danielle Piloto.
·Awards will be given to Best of Show, Second Place, and Third Place.

Water Street Studios turns 17, and there's no better way to celebrate than by celebrating all of you — our community of artists. Between our galleries, resident studios, and clay lab, you'll find the work of over 140 local artists under one roof.

🖼️ 17th Anniversary Members Show — Opening reception in the Dempsey Family and Kane County Magazine Galleries, featuring 70+ artists from our Annual Members, Resident Artists, Clay Makers, Instructors, and Artist Collective.

🏠 "HOME" in the Community Gallery — A juried group show with 24 artists exploring what "home" means, each from their own perspective.

🎨 Resident Artist Open Studios — Visit Lisa Dienst-Thomas, Beth Gollan, Louise Miller, Jennifer Schroeder, Caitlin Palagi, Sharon Feller, Rosalie White, Maggie Capettini, Dorothy Bury Shaw and Emy Krauspe in their studios. See what they're working on, shop what's for sale, or just chat.

🏺 Clay Maker Pop-Up Sale — Shop handmade ceramics created and fired in-house, and meet the makers.

🔥 Ceramics Demos — with clay makers Liza Mitchem and Kyle Sowa, and instructor Megan Ryan.

Big reveal alert! 🎉🎨 This Saturday, Sept. 12, Batavia City Hall gets a new masterpiece. Join us 10am–noon for the unveiling of "Batavia's Industrial Contributions to America," a brand-new mural depicting Batavia history from wagons to windmills.

There's more than just paint on the wall — swing by for live music, a meet-and-greet with muralist Marty Gniech, and family-friendly activities for all ages. Bring the whole crew and celebrate Batavia's story with us!

Applications closing MONDAY, August 31st.

Starting this December, we're opening our gallery spaces to local artists, artisans, and makers for a brand-new monthly market series. Think handmade goods, a great crowd, and a chance to sell your work in a real gallery setting.

📅 Market dates: December 5, February 6, March 6 & April 3 (12–4pm)
💵 Booth fees start at $35

Our main gallery is closed to the public today, Sat 8/29 from 8am–4pm, for the Batavia City Council Retreat. This meeting is open to the public to attend but if you're just stopping by to see the gallery show, we'd ask you to save your visit for Sunday 8/30.

The Community Gallery on our second floor and the Clay Lab open studio are both open as usual. Thank you!
