So, here’s my idea…
First, a little background. I watch in delighted anticipation when an ASL signer is introduced as a performer at nationally-broadcasted sporting events. It’s a beautiful language.
And then the camera catches images of the side-line athletes as they impatiently wait to play. And the unfurling of the flag – yet again. And another player or two. And the singer.
But rarely, if EVER, the signer.
How about this year, we flip their script? Let’s all “encourage” the NFL and Fox to, oh, I don’t know…
SPOTLIGHT THE SIGNERS!!!
Here’s the plan…
1. Choose a catchy picture. (This may be your biggest challenge, but you are Up for It.)
2. Make an eloquent appeal.
3. Tag and
4. Add our hashtag .
Will this go viral? Not very likely. But it’s worth the effort.
Thanks, my lovelies, and journal on… xoxox
