🌶️ F.A.M.E. DAYS! SALSA SHOWDOWN — TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY! 🌶️

📅 September 4th 6pm-9pm

We’re getting close, and it’s about to get SPICY! 🔥

This month-F.A.M.E. DAYS is scaled down but still packed with lots of fun! There will be NO street closure and NO market vendors, but we’ve got some awesome restaurants participating in the SALSA SHOWDOWN, great creative activities, and plenty of salsa to sample!

🍅 Calling all food businesses within the city limits!
It’s NOT too late to enter!

All you have to do is wave your hand and email me:

I’ll drop off a 32-ounce "numbered container" for you the week of to fill with your salsa entry. And to make it even easier, I’ll pick it up from you on the day of the event between 9 AM–3 PM!

And don’t worry if salsa isn’t something you normally serve. Maybe someone talented in your kitchen has a killer salsa recipe that could take home the win! 🏆🌶️

There are 2 prizes up for grabs, plus bragging rights AND a trophy! 🏆

We are thrilled to announce the winner of the first of four Community Cover Art Contest series — and Araceli absolutely hit it out of the park! ⚾️✨

Following the contest guidelines of NO AI and showcasing her own graphic design talent, Araceli created a piece that beautifully captures the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month. ❤️💚💛💙

Her creativity, talent and cultural connection truly stood out, and we can’t wait for the community to get to know the artist behind the winning design!

🎨 Calling Artists of All Ages! 🎨
The Bastrop Cultural Arts Program is inviting local artists, students, photographers, makers, and creatives of ALL ages to submit an original cover art design for our monthly Community Cover Art Contest!
This is your chance to have your artwork showcased throughout our community and become the face of Bastrop Cultural Arts for an entire month.
🏆 The Winning Artist Will Receive:
✨ Their artwork featured as the official cover art across all Bastrop Cultural Arts branding for the entire month, including social media, Facebook cover/banner, marketing, and promotional materials.
✨ Special recognition during F.A.M.E. Days (Friday • Art • Market • Entertainment), where the winning artist will be introduced and celebrated.
✨ Custom stickers featuring the winning artwork and the artist's signature to share with the community.
✨ Official recognition and introduction at that month's live Bastrop City Council meeting.
🎨 Every Artist Gets Recognized!
All submitted entries will be professionally printed and displayed in a community art showcase during F.A.M.E. Days for that month's theme, giving every artist the opportunity to have their work seen and celebrated by the public.
