Here we go!!

It's that time of year to start putting the fair book together!

We would like to invite all students in Big Horn County to participate in our fair book cover contest. If your artwork is chosen you will win:
🌻 TWO all event passes
🌻 TWO meal tickets the week of fair
🌻 Your artwork on the cover for the whole county to see!

The only requirements are:
🌵Your artwork must be 8.5x11
🌵Your work is turned in to the fair office by April 3rd, 2023
🌵Must represent this year's theme, "Sew It, Grow It, Show It and Tow It," and have the fair dates (July 31st-August 6th, 2023))

The winner will be chosen at the April fair board meeting and announced by the end of the month!

This is what we were fundraising for at Fair. This would be a great help!!!!

We have a large request from you!

We are in the middle of applying for a grant to construct a new Multi-Use building that would replace the current pig barn 👀

We need your help in showing how badly this building needs reconstructed! We are asking anyone who's used the fair grounds to send us an email stating:
💥What organization you are involved in
💥Where you're from
💥Why you think the pig barn needs replaced
💥How a new multi-use building would benefit you

We will be sending in these letters with the grant application (upon approval to submit the application). The grant is due by January 23rd so the sooner we receive these letters the better!

We will be having the sign-ups starting the week of fair and ending on the day of the Old Geezer Showmanship like a couple of hours before. People keep it in mind!!!

By now you've probably noticed the "Old Geezer" hog show on the entertainment schedule! The Junior Fair Board - JFB has come up with this fundraiser to help raise money for the pig barn!

How it works:
You can nominate your favorite "Old Geezer" to show a pig by paying $10. The person who has been nominated can then opt out of showing by paying $20. And the cycle can continue up until the show on August 5th at 4 PM.

The kids have decided that the "Old Geezers" will be asked to dress up in show attire, and if they don't have show attire the Junior Fair Board has a special closet to use 👀

To participate be sure to get a hold of any of these Junior Fair Board members while attending the fair! They'll be walking around throughout the week selling nominations!

These kids have been hard at work fundraising for projects and learning all about behind the scenes at the fair! They have a few fun events planned during the fair, but they are also selling county fair T-Shirts! If you would like a T-shirt to represent Big Horn County be sure to get a hold of the office or one of these girls! There was also an order form located in each fair book. Thank you everyone that has supported this youth group, they are a great group of kids!
