A gift from your IRA can help keep the music playing.
As we celebrate Maestro Lauren Green’s 50th season with the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra, we’re thinking about the many ways our community makes the BSO possible—and one of those ways may be through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a charitable gift directly from your IRA to the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra. If you are required to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), a QCD may count toward that requirement while the qualified amount is excluded from taxable income.
QCD giving continues to grow as a popular way for individuals to support the organizations they love. And while December may seem far away, now is a good time to talk with your financial advisor or IRA administrator about your charitable giving plans for the year.
A QCD could help support the BSO’s music, education programs, young artists, and the next generation of musicians—all while helping us celebrate 50 years of Lauren Green’s leadership and look toward the future.
