That’s it boys and girls. 32 years building the finest rock and roll here in the East Bay of Rhode Island. I’m damn proud to have put down stakes here on the 114 corridor. This little spot on Maple Avenue hosted folk, trad, rock, punk, hardcore, spoken word, etc.
We had a great send off this afternoon that included my two amazing kids playing and singing.

May 31st, 2-6pm

Let’s turn this page together. So many of you helped to make this location the Sun Studios of Rhode Island!! I appreciate each and every one of you. Come have a slice and a cold beer on me!

Here’s how the last day is going to go. I’m gonna come start to pack things up and load the trailer. I am cordially, inviting friends, past clients, creative types, musicians, engineers to come for a block party/yard sale.
I will be supplying beer and pizzas from 2 PM to 6 PM. Please come by to share a story or a memory. Bring CASH as I will be selling any surplus snakes, cables, wall art from the lounge, surplus rack gear, air purifiers, dehumidifiers…. Anything that isn’t 100% necessary in any new space where I set up shop. There I’ll also be giveaways of some fun stuff.
The last thing to be packed up will be the “wall of fame” of CDs so feel free to come take a picture in front of yours if it’s hanging on the wall.
This is a celebration! I can only fit three cars in the lot so some people may need to park at the church and walk down. Bring an acoustic guitar and a tambourine if you choose!

Update 5/11/26 - Still searching for a new location/studio share situation.

I’ve received many, many tips and suggestions for commercial rentals, buildings for sale, studio share opportunities, etc. Please keep them coming! Even large rehearsal spaces that need to be converted into killer studios…

A few of the mill spaces I’ve toured had some great potential but none were a perfect fit.

I have many “irons in the fire” as they say but I’m always open to more ideas/suggestions.

My last day at the Barrington location is May 31st. Stay tuned for more info about that date…

Whelp, there it is folks. 30 years making records in my little building in Barrington, RI.

I would like to personally thank every single band, artist, singer, drummer, guitarist, harp player, keyboardist, flautist, bassist, percussionist, highland piper, small piper, bodhran player, fiddler, banjo player, mando player, Bouzouki player, etc etc etc. you know who you are.

I can say without hesitation that EVERY SESSION taught me something. 7 mixing boards, 4 chairs, 6 tape machines, about a million microphones, and 4 computers later and I’m still loving it. I might not be here in 30 years but who knows. Old engineers/producers are stuck their ways.

Thank you for allowing me to help build your songs.

Counting down to July 1. That date will mark 30 years in my studio. Last night I found this while going through some boxes in the storage room. Seems like yesterday.

Keeping the dream alive….

The 25th Anniversary, Remastered edition of "Postcards" is upon us for release. In 1998, 12 songs were put out to the world via CD *only*...pressing vinyl was not a "thing" in that timeframe, and releasing media online was in its infancy, if you can believe it. The original source tape reels were discovered and converted right outside of Nashville. We've been able to sift through several unreleased tracks and restore them; Re-mixed with a more modern ear and re-mastered to current standards. The product will be released within days, digitally (on Bandcamp, then other media platforms)...followed by CD within the next week...and on vinyl by the time the new year rolls around. Hoping that you'll give a listen (or listen to this again if you had the original) SOON!
