Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an unforgettable, double-feature grand finale at Barrington’s White House on Saturday, July 4!

Kick off the holiday at 8:30 a.m. with a free porch concert by the Barrington All-Star Brass Quintet, sponsored by the Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR. Bring lawn chairs and breakfast for a celebration of patriotic favorites. In case of rain, the music moves to the third-floor ballroom.

After the Independence Day parade, return at noon for a captivating historical portrayal of Abigail Adams by master storyteller Megan Wells Tells.

The heat couldn't stop a packed house from turning out for Wednesday's Patriotic Brass and Percussion concert! With extreme temperatures forcing a change of plans St. Michael's Episcopal Church Barrington, IL saved the day by moving the celebration indoors.

There, 2025 professional conductor of the year Chad Goodman led the Elgin Symphony Orchestra in a high-energy night of anthems for America’s 250th birthday. Huge thanks to St. Michael's for hosting, and to The Pepper Family Music Series for sponsoring this event!

The Elgin Symphony Orchestra comes to the Robert Soule Amphitheater at Citizens Park at 6:30 p.m. today, June 25, for Woodwind Serenades in the Park. Rescheduled from earlier this month, the performance offers a perfect summer evening of live music. Grab your lawn chairs and picnic baskets for this free event.
